a few questions!

Hello there!

I have just booked flights to Lisbon for 10 days.

I would really like to stay somewhere (possibly Cascais) with a lovely sea view - preferably in a modern apartment with air conditioning and a nice pool - can anyone suggest anywhere?

We thought it would be nice to stay out of the city and travel into the city for a couple of day trips.

We would also like to do a trip to Sintra - is this easy from Cascais or would we have to go into Lisbon to do this?

If we do decide to stay in Cascais would it be easy to get there from the airport - our flight arrives at 11pm?

Sorry for all the questions - this will be our first visit to the Lisbon area - we have been in the Algarve may times. Many thanks in advance.

"modern apartment with air conditioning and a nice pool" in Cascais? I don't think that it exists, it's more hotels, aparthotels or villas (outside town). It's easy to go to Sintra from Cascais (by bus). To go to Cascais after 11pm take a taxi or a private transfer.

Thank you so much - do you suggest any aparthotels? Central as we do not want a car on this trip.

Do you have any idea how much a taxi would cost? TIA

1) Taxi to where?

2) If your flight is arriving at 23:00 you will need to arrange a taxi or private transfer from Lisbon Airport to Cascais as by the time you get your bags etc. it will be getting tight to make the trip by public transport.

3) Where to stay..... Have a look at the Hotel Estoril Eden situated close to Monte Estoril Station and one stop from Cascais. Has good reviews on TA. It is a see facing aparthotel.

It is abot a 15 minute walk to Cascais.

4) Scotturb operate regular bus services between Cascais and Sintra and Estoril and Sintra

Hi FTHW I looked up your suggestion on vrbo - it is beautiful but booked up for our dates. Maybe I will look for an aparthotel.

Sorry I don't use Facebook.

Still not found a nice apartment so looking at aparthotels - I like this one but it is too far outside Cascais - can anyone suggest something similar but more central - we do not want a hire car. TIA
