Tips for September Trip For My Unsuspecting Parents

I've booked flights for my parents for the 25th to 29th of September. I think this will be their first time away in a European city together so plenty of prep will be needed before they go. They are both in their 50's and neither would be the most cultured when it comes to touring cities but with sufficient knowledge to be gained before they depart I am sure they will have a good time.

So, the budget for accommodation is €350 for 4 nights. Which area should I look for?Or are there any hotels you would recommend?

With regard to airport transfers should I book before they depart or are the taxi's to the city centre of reasonable value?

Which day trip would be best advisable?is there any that involve going on the water?

Have a look at the area of the Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon. It's nice and they will find plenty of restaurants around. They will also be able to walk into the city whilst there are metros as well. www.trivago.com is a good website for price comparison.

There's an Aerobus from the airport which passes the Avenida da Liberdade: yellowbustours.com/en/…
