Visiting Belem

It looks from the map that it should be possible to walk to Belem along the riverside from Alcantara cruise ship dock. Is this correct? if so, how far is it and how long should it take?

We don't mind a fair walk if the weather's OK. Although we'll see it from the ship it's not the same as being there I'm sure.

Once you get under the bridge there is a wide path alongside the river. it's a couple of miles.

You can get a bus back.
