I'm coming to Madeira on Monday and we should land at 8.45 p.m.. Is there a chance to catch the last aerobus (21.15) to Funchal?
If 21.15 is the last aerobus , I would say that 30 minutes is not enough time to get through passport control , collect your luggage and get outside to the bus stop .
Thanks for the info. I think Madeira Airport Transfer will be the best choice in such a case. Should I book a taxi in advance? Or maybe I can catch one at the airport?
Best seems to be to make contact in the plane or taxi rank with others to share a taxi .
If you pre-book your taxi , you know someone will be at the airport with your name on a card waiting for you ,even if your flight is delayed .
www.madeira-airport-transfers.com is very popular with travellers on this forum
Hi, my wife and I are travelling to Madeira in March. She tells me that she has seen/heard that you can get a free transfer from the airport to Funchal by showing your airline ticket. Can anyone verify this please, many thanks.
You used to be able too get the Aerobus for free if you were flying with TAP, but this stopped a few years ago. So, no free transfers any more.
Ewa B the note at the bottom indicates that the bus may wait for late arroivals
<< case of late arrival of this flight, service can leave with the same time delay, up to a maximum period of 1 hour>>
may still be worth a consideration.
The aerobus is only €5 or €8 return so not really breaking the bank, compared to taxis which vary anything from €23 to £30 each way.
Thanks for that. We will use the aerobus.
