We will be in Porto in mid-October for about a day and a half (arrive Sunday afternoon, leave Tuesday morning). The full day on Monday we have pretty well figured out with a walking tour of the Ribeira and the Old Town and a visit to some port houses, but we are still trying to decide on what do do the first afternoon we arrive. It will be the first day arriving from the USA, so I assume we will be a little jet lagged.
Right now we are mulling over two options: one of the short hour-long boat rides on the river, or to take the train out to Foz do Douro and watch the sunset over a glass of wine.
Since this is our "acclimation" day, we probably don't want to do anything too crazy, but we are open for suggestions, ideas or critiques. Thanks in advance!
