driving from porto to evora

We will be driving from Porto to Evora during one day, assume route takes us through/around Lisbon, which is our base. However, any suggested stops (brief) between Porto and Evora as well as suggestions for next day (back to Lisbon) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would reccomend Santarém. It's about halfway of your trip, so besides streching your legs, you can visit a beautiful portuguese town not very far from your track.

Driving from Porto to Evora on one day and leaving for Lisbon the next day?

I would leave early and make as little stops as possible. Head straight to Evora and spend your time there. It takes about a 3 1/2 hrs drive. http://www.evora-portugal.com/index.php
