Peneda-Geres National Park -- what to focus on in 2 days?

Our family of 4 is going to visit Peneda-Geres National Park for 2 days/1 night at the end of the week. We are driving from Porto and thinking of staying near Geres, but I am open to another suggestion. Can someone tell me if it would be better to focus our time in the northern area (Soajo, Ponta da Barca) or more southern (near Geres)? Is it possible to see both areas in 2 days? We would like to do a hike or two (love mountain scenery) and do not mind doing a short driving tour, but not spending all day in the car to see things. Thank you for any suggestions!

In 2 days/ 1 night, I think you should select an area and explore it the best you can. There are plenty of hiking programs in Peneda-Gerês, some camping parks even have their own. Most companies also provide other activities.
