Holidays for couples in Greece

Hi

My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's and are considering a holiday in Greece this September. We are looking for a really luxurious hotel in an area where there are a reasonable amount of bars and restaurants to visit- we are total foodies! We want a bit of life about the place but are not interested in clubbing and really want to avoid the messy under 30's clubbing scene.

We've never been to Greece before and would be grateful if someone could suggest an area to aim for- nothing too sleepy for retirement holidays but no glow sticks or foam parties!

Also- is the weather reliable in early September?

Many thanks :-)

Hey and welcome IMCR1:-) Early Sept is about as good as it gets;-) And agree with mariha2912.. doesn't get any better than www.grandebretagne.gr/ which is the grande dame property in Athens.. but curious.. are you looking for a City stay.. or something out by a beach.. an isle?;-) How long are you going for?! Bit more info would certainly help us help you;-) EnjOY!
