Greek Islands

Hi,

My partner and I are planning a holiday to the Greek islands next year but unsure of which one to visit.

We are looking for a holiday with lots of activities in the day and also bars and restaurants on the evening

We are also looking for a holiday where we can travel freely across the island exploring different areas and feel safe and not restricted.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank-you

You may feel safe and not restricted in any Greek island. Moving around and exploring is more easy on a large than on a small island. Please narrow your interests and specify what kind of activities you are after.

Hi there

Your wish list applies to just about any island in Greece. At what time of the year do you wish to travel and for how long?

Why not take a look at Corfu....a beautiful island and the greenest of the Greek Islands.

Try: http://www.allcorfu.com

It is easy to see around Corfu as it is a smaller island and by basing yourself, perhaps in the North West, places like San Stefanos (n/w) or Arillas or Roda with its sandy beaches - then hire a car and take in the lovely scenery around the island. Or take boat trips around Corfu, it is a great way to see the coves and the lovely azure sea. There are also plenty of water sports on offer.

Corfu Old Town is a must for first time visitors too...and has been said by other posters, the Greek islands are a safe place to visit.

For water sports as well as complying with your other specifications Naxos will be ideal. Look up some links here:

Zakynthos is also stunning, with watersports offered in many areas, including a scuba centre in Vasilikos. All resorts have plenty of choice of bars and restaurants too. However, you do need to narrow down your options a bit, as otherwise you'll probably get a couple of hundred of suggestions (at least)!
