Hey and welcome Megwood24:-) In either direction, it's a common ferry route between the isles in season.. you don't mention 'when', but you can check out www.gtp.gr/ www.openseas.gr/ Take note with limited time, best to fly to first isle from Athens.. and back from last isle to Athens! For example, you can fly to Mykonos.. ferry to Santorini... ferry to Heraklion (Crete).. or vice versa;-) Take a look at www.aegeanair.com/ www.olympicair.com/ All this assuming you're starting/ending in Athens;-)
Having said that, I'd definitely shoot for at least the 10 days.. Crete alone is humongous.. destination ON it's own;-) If you have a specific destination in mind .. like Knossos in Heraklion for a few days, can be doable but would not attempt this regardless with only 7 days unless you don't mind lots of ferry travel and are 'movers' in travel style;-) Congrats.. and Happy Honeymoon planning.. Always EnJOY!
How many full days do you actually have please? If those "7-10 days" you mention include a part day at either end for arrival and departure, then you could have as few as 5-8 days in which case you would have a whirlwind trip to fit in three islands and you wouldn't do any of then the justice they deserve. Bear in mind too that to be safe, you need to back in Athens the day prior to your homebound flight unless the flight is late out of Athens airport on your final day.
Yes, im thinking maybe 2 islands might be more appropriate! Thanks :)
Thanks so much for this great info Litsa!! Much appreciated!
