Ferrie routes and ticket prices

Hi,

We are thinking about spending our summer hollidays on some of the Greek Islands (Cyclades). Are there any sort of InterRail ticket system? We would like to not plan the whole trip in advance, but purchase one ticket and use it on several transfers. Is this possible?

Hey and welcome AnjaHelen:-) There are no '1 ticket' options or passes to cover travel over a number of days/isles.. it's a point to point ticket.. or in this case.. isle to isle.. you purchase 1 ticket from 1 isle to the other as you go.. or in advance;-) As far as trains, they are very limited in Greece at this point.. and again, it's point to point;-) Enjoy!

Hi,

No such ferry ticket type. Each journey is a separate ticket point to point.

Prices are proportional to distance and fixed, fast ferries are twice the speed and price.

You save money by avoiding using the fast ferries.

On each island/port are ticket agencies to buy tickets, in most cases a timetable is chalked on a board outside.
