We are thinking of staying at the Villa Aurora,Kafalonia . Has anyone stayed there and was it ok.

we have just returned from holiday which we booked through Unique.

every thing was done professionally, no hassle or worries.we would book through Unique again without a second thought

I haven't stayed there so I looked it up. It is offered by Viners who are property builders/developers. I didn't know they rented properties. There properties are built to a high standard.

On their website it says that it is in the "South West" in "Katelios". If it is in Katelios it will be in the South EAST of the island.

I think they used to or may still deal with Thomson. We stayed in Blue Bay, Lourdas and were delighted but info is 3 years old. See thread below:

Villa Ambeli, Old Scala 9-23 September 2014

Our villa, high on a hillside overlooking Scala had stunning views. Roola, our excellent cleaner, came every 2-3 days to change sheets and towels and clean the villa. We saw the Poolman and the bins were emptied on a regular basis. The pool area was clean and well equipped with sun beds and tables. Graham visited on our first full day and gave us lots of local information about the Island. 

Our days fell into beach and pool routines and we loved being woken by the sound of the goat bells as the goats were herded up the hill each morning to spend their day around the villa on the rocky hillside.

We were very impressed when the maintenance man arrived within 10 minutes when we reported the hot water had stopped working. Within half an hour it started working again. We witnessed a tremendous thunderstorm in our first week and all the electricity in Scala, including ours went off. It returned a couple of hours later. 

Unfortunately peace, quiet and privacy were compromised a few days into our holiday by building works in the adjacent villa involving diggers, cement mixers and numerous workmen from 8 am each morning. This was a particular disappointment given that we had chosen a villa in a remote, quiet location. 

We have, over the years, rented many villas from a variety of companies and we have been impressed by the overall standard of accommodation and service provided by Unique.
