What's best to do with limited time?

I'll be in Greece for 4 days (not including a travel day to Athens and a travel day out of Athens) at the end of June/beginning of July. Originally, when I thought the trip would be longer, I was planning on seeing Athens for a day, then Santorini, Mykonos, and maybe Delphi or Meteora. Clearly there's not enough time for that now.

What do people recommend for such limited time? Is it worth it to do a day in Athens and say, 3 days in Santorini (we'd splurge and fly over to save time)? Is it better to stay closer to Athens? I've heard good things about Hydra or know people with a home in Diakofto...? I'd love some suggestions!

Thanks!

Whatever you do , stay the last day in Athens to avoid missing

your flight by unforeseen circumstances at the islands.

I think you'd need two full days in Athens to see many of the "must see" sites.

Everyone has different interests, but if I only had 4 days, I'd immediately head to Poros on the day of arrival. I'd spend that night and two more there. On one day I'd take an early water taxi to Galatas and rent a car. I'd first tour Mycenae and then have lunch in Napflio. I'd visit Epidaurus on the way back to Galatas.

Second day I'd do a day trip to Hydra. I'd then return to Athens for my last 2 days.
