Some photos from Piraeus

I mentioned in my first report from Athens that I had a long stroll through Piraeus.

At last - I have been able to selct and edit my photos from this trip, and here are links to the albums (like always - "Lysbildevisning" means "View slideshow"):

Great photos Erik (as always)!

One note: it is not Mikromilani, it's MIKROLIMANO.

YOu've done it again, Erik! That Piraeus Main Harbor series is like a Guidebook for the first-timer... shows you exactly the sequence... from Metro, to ticket office to traffic, to piers and all the lovely ferry poised to leave.

Again, your photos gleam... good cameras, yes, I know, but more than that. You have the gift, E.

And wow those museum items -- anywhere else in the world, a Major museum, like the Met or the Louvre, would build a wing for what is almost unknown, in Piraeus.

PS: when I'm watching the photos as a slide show, sometimes the top part of a picture is obscured by a legend that reads ??

" something something somethng ESC somthing lskoveking"

I tried clicking on it to make it go away so I could see the statue's face, but instead, it made the slide show quit. How do I get rid of that legend/message box??

Many thanks to you all, and a special thanks to TJ. I do not know the message box you are referring to - I have never seen it myself.

You are, by the way, aware of the opportunity to change speeds in the show by using the animals down to your left ?

TJ - I think I found out what you mean. If you by some movement makes a nudge on the PC the system reacts by saying: Push ESC to quit the slideshow.

If you don't do anything it will continue as it should be.

The problem with how the photos are presented on your PC may have a connection with the speed on your system connection, or with the speed you are watching the slideshow by.
