These people have good cars at reasonable prices, and do not try to screw you for additional insurance charges:

I appreciate the tips - I now have totals from winterincrete.com, athenscar, rentalcentercrete and justrentals. All are inclusive of all taxes & fees including insurance. Anyone out there have a bad experience with any of these? They all cost about the same for midsize.

Thanks again - this really helps!

We have rented from Athene scar Crete twice. We were very happy with the service meeting us at the airport and just parking the car at the port, hiding the key under the floor mat and just walking away.

They had all inclusive insurance coverage and were the best price I could find, One thing though, their cars are not new, They are in good mechanical condition but they are probably two or three years old. That is likely why they were less expensive than others we found on the internet, Thats our experience.

Hi there

I assume you'll want to collect the car at the airport? This makes sense as you can't get to Koutouloufari by bus, the closest would stop in Hersonissos from where you'd then have to take a cab. Lots of car hire places at the airport.

I used AthensCar a few weeks ago, and was very happy with their service, which included great flexibility on pick-up and drop-off locations.

I was slightly disappointed that the hatchback I had didn't have a parcel shelf, though.

Does anyone know about this company?

http://www.carcrete.com/

They quoted me 160 Euros for 4 days for an automatic car. I know automatics are charged about 10 more euro a day. We are going in September and just wanted to know if anyone used them.

Hi there

According to the website, they are in fact AthensCars or are related to them. I'm sure AthensCars gets decent reviews although I've never used them. We always use http://perseas-rentacar.gr/
