Crete is a huge island: 175 miles from east to west. There is no one place from which you can tour the whole island easily. You'd need to have at least two bases (Heraklion and Chania) or, if you wanted to see the whole island, another two bases in the far east and far west. Please tell us (1) how long you expect to stay in Crete and (2) what you are most interested in seeing and doing, so that we can help you.

Best Car hire with a personal touch is go to www.autorentals-crete.com . Dimitris will meet you at the airport. Great new cars everything is included in the price he quotes including full CDW at a price no one can beat.
