Hey,

there are two ways to do this. First is by plane, might cost you a bit more but flight is less than an hour. From Athens you can fly to most of the airports in Crete.

Second one is by ferry. This can be quite cheaper if you travel on the deck (no cabin) but it's a pain as ferries typically leave from Piraeus (30 mins from Athens) in the evening to arrive early in the morning in Crete. I think there are several destination ports served, you might want to check http://www.go-ferry.com/ or try the sites of ANEK lines and Minoan lines.

Hi,

Check out these links for flights:

www.olympicair.com

www.aegeanair.com

As noted above there are regular (overnight) ferries from Piraeus to Iraklion and Chania.
