Very much enjoyed your report, Mark ... it brought back many fond memories of our own trip to Amorgos in 2009 (where we, too, stayed at the Yperia). Loved your wonderful photos, too -- what make of camera did you take them with?
Really a shame, isn't it, that the sea below the monastery is always so grey, cold, miserable and rough and the beaches wall-to-wall with people!
Thanks for your comments.
We seem to be following in your footsteps. I'd seen your pics of Amorgos and the Yperia but I've also looked at many of your other contributions and pics over the years before visiting places (you always seem to get there first!!) including Milos (Santa Maria Village), Folegandros,Naxos, Sifnos and many more.
95% of my pics are taken with a Casio Exilim Pocket Camera with a few being taken on the iPhone
What a great report! We also enjoyed 6 days in Aegiali in July 2012. We specially loved the two remote beaches following Levrosos beach.
We also hiked a lot: a walk from Tholaria to Mykri Vlychada was really wonderful, we also loved walking from Arkesini to Ammoudi.
Really looking forward to it Mark :-)Edited: 30 July 2012, 08:21
