Rotonda

Hi All,

I've seen the amazing reviews and photos of Rotonda, and would really like to visit. Is it doable on foot from Apeiranthos or Filoti? Or is it too far/along an unsafe bit of road? If it's not possible, are there other ways of reaching it (hire car isn't an option)?

Thanks :)

From what I can remember its on the road between filoti to apiranthos and must be quite a hike from either village on the (steep) road. An option is to go to Filoti by bus and take a taxi from there to take you to Rotonda ?

It's about 1½ mi south of Apiranthos, you can walk that, 45 min, or get the bus to let you off there any of the buses going to Apiranthos, Apollona.

Fanari(890m, 2880') ½ mi west of Apiranthos is higher and has a better view. You can walk up to there from the highest point in Apiranthos village and you can continue down a calderimi the west side and get the bus back from Chalki.

Fantastic! Sounds like it'll be good combined with a visit to one or two villages too then. :)

Many thanks!
