I think it's a good moment to start booking
I saw these come up yesterday but unfortunatly the promo fares on the day I need don't work out with out schedule.I went ahead and booked the 41 Euro fare for the 1pm flight. At least it's done and I can quit worrying about it! Now I still need to book a flight from Santorini to Rome but those flights are 115 - 200 euros at this point so I'll just keep watching for now and hope they come down. At least with that flight I have more flexibility. Thanks for looking out for us BLL!
On another note,my husband is sad that Akrotiri still won't be open when we go in May.We will get to the ancient Thira site but I wondered if there were any other archeological areas to explore.
About Santorini>Rome: I'm seeing some 28 euro tickets between Athens and Rome in September. With taxes it is 59 euro. That's dirt cheap. Couple that with Santorini>Athens for about 30 euro you should be able to save a lot of money. The trick is to book each leg of the trip separately to get the best prices. I don't know why it works but it does. Give it a try for your travel dates and see if it works......good luck!
Thanks for passing on the news Brotherleelove.
Would the promo fares be out all the way through September. The cheapest I can find from Athens to Santorini on Sept 8 is 77 Euro (one way). That doesn't seem like that great of a deal as compared to other days.
This IS good news......unless of course you already made your reservations :(
I also noticed that the 10 euro fare goes to 23 euro if you try to book two seats at once.
Besides Aegean and Olympic, are there any other low cost carriers that fly into and out of Santorini?
Sky Express is a Cretan airline that hops between several islands but it does not fly out of Athens. Other than that only European charter flights fly to Santorini.
Thanks for the heads up BLL, I snagged one at 10 and one at 23!
