Using master credit card in santorini/kos/athens

are the most local stores or local supermarket will take master credit card? I dont want to withdraw cash from ATMs as the credit card charges higher fee on it.

Be sure to ask first, as some shops, restaurants and mini-markets may not accept CCs.

Cash is what they take for sure, small places often don't do plastic.

Debit Card charges are a bit less, but it depends on the particular Card issuer.

Also, some places that do take cards will only accept them if you spend a particular amount. A shop in Perissa wouldn't accept my card in June as they had a minimum €20 spend and I was only buying goods for €15.
