Pre book ferry tickets?

We are travelling from piraeus to sifnos next Sunday on the 7.05am speedrunner 3. Would you advise us to pre book tickets or just wait and get them at the port before departure?

The Speedrunners go from Gate 7 and their ticket office is close by so there shouldn't be a problem buying the tickets at the port for a Sunday sailing. You don't say whether or not you will already be in Greece/Athens or if you will be arriving on a Sat night flight from the UK. If you are already there there wouldn't be anything stopping you from buying your tickets ahead from an Agency so as to save you standing in a line on Sunday morning at the ticket booth but otherwise no probs. You could book them online on the Speedrunner website but you would still need to pick the tickets up from the kiosk when you got there. Swings and roundabouts really.

Our flight gets in at 4am so planned to get bus straight to port.

If you arrive in time you should be in the X96 (turn right as you leave Arrivals and buy your €5 tickets at the booth by the bus stop and validate them once you get on the bus in the orange machine) for 5am and be at the port by 6am. Doddle. Enjoy.

Both good islands to visit which are off the main tourist trail and so much the better for it.
