Windsurfing - which resort is best for beginners

I would like to have a go at windsurfing and have read Kardamena is good for this, can anyone recommend anywhere to stay near Kardamena as I'd prefer a quieter place and walk or cycle to the beach unless there are any other resorts which would be good for beginners windsurfing.

Hi

Mastihari is very good for windsurfing , there is a good waterspouts company that does windsurfing and also kite surfing and run regular classes for beginners

If your looking for a nice quiet resort that is chilled and laid back then it’s the place for you, there is plenty of info on Mastihari-uncovered

Kardamena is probably a good place to start, the wind is gentler on the southern coast, and as for staying outside Kardamena because it's quieter, there really is no need the whole village is nice and quiet and relaxed, if you stay at one of the smaller hotels in the village you can enjoy the local bakers, shops, bars and restaurants as well as the watersports in esy walking distance.

The village is also central within the island if you wish to travel to other resorts during your stay.

I was looking at the north coast resorts but thought they may be too windy for a beginner but thought Kardamena is the place where younger people would be drinking in nightclubs etc like Kavos. Is it possible to cycle to the north coast and Kos Town from Kardamena or is it too hilly or busy?

Kardamna is nothing like Kavos, club 18-30 stopped going to Kardamena some years ago and it's no longer popular with youngsters.
