Taxi Strikes in Rhodes

Has the taxi strike continued? We land tonightg (July 24th) at 10pm. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we get to the hotel? Do the buses run that late? Are there shuttles?

Hey

You could go online and check out shuttle transfers such as a2b, transfers4u and resorthoppa. Not sure if u could book one at such short notice but u can try, very cheap and reliable.

Hopefully Peppermilly, Trev, KGreek will post regarding whether strikes continuing, as they live on the island.

Good luck

Hey

Forgot to add, if taxis still on strike when u get there and u havnt bn able to book a shuttle, there is a row of agency booths outside arrivals hall. One is hotels4u who deal with transfers4u, if u ask there they may b able to get u on a shuttle, long shot but worth a try.

The Living in Greece site states that a few taxis are operating on Rhodes serving tourists, let's hope there are some at the airport.

Scroll down the left hand side,

In case you are lucky enough & some are there I would suggest one of you get straight out there & bag one while the other gets the luggage!

Hey

The North West of the island is not my forte so to speak, but I may have heard there are a couple of late buses running from Paradisi - airport - rhodes town at 11ish and 11:45 ish.

One of the locals on TA could confirm either way.

Hire a car, pick it up at the Airport then you have transport for a couple days for the price of a taxi, (depending on where you are staying and dont forget your licence)

I am here in Rhodes and the strike is still very much on. It has put quite a damper on our trip : (. Thanks to all we found a shuttle at the airport when we arrived but can't seem to get one to get back to the airport! So frustrating!
