ferry from Rhodes Town to Lindos?

Hi, i'm wondering if there is a ferry boat between rhodes town and lindos? I am thinking this is probably a nice way to get to Lindos as opposed to car..

Several tourist boats leave Mandraki harbour, in Rhodes Town, for Lindos every day. I think departure is around 09.00.

Thank you, do you know if there are many departing boats as well from Lindos back to Rhodes Town at staggering times?

All boats seem to arrive and depart at similar times. It's quite an early departure at 2.45-3 to get back to Rhodes Town around 5.

If you'd like more time in Lindos, buy a one way ticket and take the bus back.

It's usually at least 6pm but varies through the season. If you go to Lindos Main Square, current timetable is posted in the information office window. The bus to Rhodes is a 5-10 minute uphill walk from here, above Lindos on Krana Square.

We used taxis to go to Rhodes town you can hail one or use the taxi rank outside old town walls or in new town we only used the bus once but seemed to still be going late

By the way, the boats running from Rhodes Town to Lindos aren't ferries - they're day excursion boats. That means that they aren't supposed to have one way fares. Nothing to stop you accidentally-on-purpose missing the boat back of course, but you're still paying the round trip fare.
