Hi there

Not dined in any in Manganos but I have stopped to eat in some other villages in the general area and they are all cheap, good food, and child friendly, as are most rural tavernas/restaurants on the island

Back from Kefalonia.. went to Ionio Taverna in Maganos on a saturday night they have a spit roast. we were unfortunatly too early for it as we have to eat out at 7.00 because of the kids but the food and service were great. there were a lot of large tables reserved for the spit roast so I think it would be best to book.

Thanks for that scubagoose,

Think I know where you mean - large terrace, advertise good view of sunset??

Spit roast sounds great, will have to check it out next year.

Sorry NONE1 & mikri, have been away all week so only just seen your questions.

Maganos is a small traditional village on the road to Fiscardo(about 5km away)

As you probably know, eating out in Fiscardo can be a little expensive so this might be a good alternative if youre in that neck of the woods.
