greek music

Can anyone tell me the name of the lovely Greek song we heard which starts La, La, Lalalalala, La? Heard it on the ferry and can't get it out of my head.

I think that the tune you are thinking of is by Loreena Mckennitt, a Canadian lady.

It is called "Tango to Evora"

Put the title into Youtube & you can see if it is the right song.

The most famous 'La la' song I know that gets inside your head is Siko xorepse sirtaki, here's Nana Mouskouri's version,

Love how she introduces it too!

Yiassas Everyone

Hubby and I have been trying to find out what they call that song for years. We call it 'our tune' and we love to hear it every time we visit Greece.

It was done to great effect by the waiters in the Olympic Taverna in Sidari.

We have been to a lot of other islands since then.

What a catchy tune!!!
