Clearly, you should book with an operation based at the airport- I use Hertz.

Very fair, they refunded the unused part of the fuel without question.

You should get excess cover www.insurance4carhire.co.uk

We normally hire from the resort but as we needed a car from the airport this year we looked at various price comparison websites which kept coming up with Argus, who to be honest we had never heard of. They were way cheaper than anyone else. We decided to go with it and they were excellent.

The car itself came from Express Rent a Car who are based at the airport. They have their own website www.expressrentacar.gr

We used Autoeurope- picked up and returned to the Airport, we had a decent size car for £150 for the week.. No problems at all and the cheapest we could find.

Hello Lisa,

As you are hiring the car for the whole duration of your holiday to/from the airport it usually works out cheapest to book online before you go through one of the care hire brokers such as holidayautos.co.uk or carhire3000.com I have used both in a number of countries with no problems and can happily recommend either.

They deal with all the major car hire firms and because of their buying power are usually cheaper than if you book direct.

They will also offer excess waiver insurance. Unless you are likely to be hiring a car in the next 12 months 10 days cover will be cheaper than annual cover.
