Apartments between lassi and argostili

Hi, I'm going to kefalonia in October and decided that staying in the busier resorts would be better due to the time of year. Any recommendations for apartments between lassi and argostili would be great... Near the beach ideal....thanks....

The Fanari road connects Lassi and Agostoli. There is a beach as you set off on the road from Lassi, in June the beach bar looked deserted and the beach looked as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. The next beach is after you pass the Fanari lighthouse and the road turns towards Agostoli , no beach beds but it is very popular with the locals. A narrow strip of sand, you can wade out for quite a way. It is not a patch on the beaches in Lassi. If you want a beach holiday there are apartments a short way down the road from Lassi, Emmas studios, we have never stayed there but they look very nice in lovely gardens.

We have stayed at Fanari twice, in the Bella Vista studios and once at the Panorama studios. Both with wonderful views across to Lixouri. The Bella Vista look a bit run down now, the Panorama had loads of guests when we passed in June.

All apartments mentioned I believe have web pages.

We used to walk to Lassi for the beaches, quite a trek but worth it , the walk is lovely . Equally you can walk into Agostoli from Fanari. You would need a taxi back.

We have visited the island twice in October and had great holidays.

Hope this helps

If going independent try Niko Studios ( not Nikos Appartments, Thomson) at Argostoli end of Lassi

Hi Karen again,

I thought I would add to this thread rather than the other one.

Bigcol is a destination for Lassi and has produced a great website with lots of info.

http://lassiinformation.webs.com/

One part of it has a few excellent maps showing lots of accommodation.

If you decide to look at the outskirts of Lassi, look at

the Irelena apartments.

They are just off the main road to Agostoli, near where

the Fanari road starts. They are slightly uphill, and look

good from the outside. An upstairs room looks as though

you would have a view.

From their all the beaches, tavernas etc. of Lassi are in walking distance

and you can walk over the hill into Agostoli.

Thanks so much for all your replies. I've decided to go to Panorama apartments, Fanari, they look lovely. Any suggestion for bars/restaurants/beaches in nearby area?
