help and advice

Hi. I am looking at 1 week early Sept. There appear to be lots of offers for Kavos. Can anyone tell me if this is the kind of resort that a couple of early 60 tear olds. Whilst we would like to be near bars and restaurants we would be terrified of being in the middle of an 18 - 30;s type place. Any advice on where to stay in Corfu

Hi, Kavos is definetly for the younger(very) generation. Wild parties etc. You could look at sans Stefanos North West, not a overly lively resort but plenty of taverna's and bars with a lovely sandy beach and Greek feel. Take a virtual tour @ 'Virtual tour sans stefanos, bliss' and visit the dedicated forum @ ' Sans Stefanos forum'. If you are looking for somewhere with a more English feel then Sidari might suit your needs, if you could be more specific in what you are looking for then hopefully forum members can then point you in the right direction.

thank you for your help I will certainly look at your suggestions. and stay away from Kavos. We are just looking for a cheap weeks chill out. Greek feel would be good but as long as there plenty tavernas and reasonably priced restaurants we will be happy

You are welcome, plenty of reasonably priced taverna's in Sans Stefanos with quite a few doing a specials board of an evening, Thomsons and Thomas cook have properties here, for an independent holiday then look at the website of ' Corfu selections' who have some lovely accomodations. Hope that this is of some help to you.

Iwould suggest Sidari as it has something for everyone with 2 different sides of the town - one lively and funpacket the other far more peacfull and pretty with great restaurants. Other than that check out kassiopi - very beautifull and laid back.

find details of more places of interest here: www.corfu-loaded.net

hope this helps.
