Average cost of a beer in a taverna/supermarket on Paxos

We are planning a trip to Paxos for approx 12 nights next June- a bit early I know! We are looking at costs and wondered what the price of the food was to buy in the supermarket compared to the Uk and also the price of eating out in the tavernas, especially the price of a beer?

Thank you

Hi There welcome to the forum

Lots of helpful friendly people with great advice on here. It's been a couple of years since I've been now but having been to Corfu inbetween times the prices haven't changed much there.

There aren't any supermarkets like you get here in England on Paxos, think more along the lines of Spar or Cost-cutter. Unfortunately the prices aren't dissimilar either! Because so much has to be imported onto the island it is a bit more expensive.

Eating out for an evening meal you're looking at 30euro and up for a minimum of 2 courses and 2 drinks, you can pay more.... you can pay less, for example the Rosa de Paxos in Lakka does a set menu for around 12 or 15euro - 3 courses and a drink.

Beer is approx. 3.50euro for a large beer, again, depends where you are, the harbour front in Gaios is much more expensive than other places for example.

Some bars have a happy hour (or two). We buy a few beers from the 'off licence' to keep in the fridge and have a tipple on the balcony before going out for the evening.
