Grecotel Pella Beach, Hanoti

Looking at going here in august with my kids 13 and 17 as a single mum. Any advice this looks suitable in brochure. We like peaceful scenic resorts but with just enough going on. Any views please?

hi.

it is an average 4 star hotel.better to say 3 star superior.the rooms are of good size ans have a t.v. and a fridge.all have nice balconies.there are few bungalows but those facing the street are very noisy-if you want a bungalow then request these that face the gardens and the pool.they have direct access to pool and gardens and steps away from the sandy beach.breakfast tends to be crowded, quality of food very good, ambience nothing special except if you're lucky to get a table on the veranda looking at the gardens.lobby is beautiful and most of the times peaceful.lobby bar very nice for an evening drink.there is also a snack-bar by the pool with views to the beach.the pool is not large not small and very clean.the beach is sandy well organised but gets crowded from morning till late afternoon.it is located at the end of hanioti beach road close to cafes, taverns, bars steps away.hanioti in general is a very lively place.

take a look also for www.g-hotels.gr (pallini beach and athos pallace located in kallithea, large sandy beach and generally much more space) and www.saniresort.gr( the sani beach hotel and for more upgate porto sani village hotel which is located in sani resort numerous things to do there no need to go anywhere else).

Hi bunty,

haven't stayed at the pella but have walked past it lots of times and it looks quite nice. We've visited Hanioti three times in the last three years and love it. There are lots of nice hotels in the area to consider. We go self catering and eat out as we love all the taverna's that are quite cheap compared with other places in greece. We travel as a family of five and spent just over a grand in spends. There are lots of water sports available at the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving courses available. However our kids are younger and go to the kids play parks , bouncy castle play areas etc.You can get really cheap deals to Halkidiki with some opertators , I think thomson are quite expensive even for last minute deals, First choice have lots of last minute deals to halkidiki if you look at the last minute part of their web site.Prices go down a lot if you watch.I can personally recommend the Lesse hotel/studios.

You can hire bicycles in the town and we also walked to the two nearest towns of Pefkohori and polichrono. There are other review sites to get a bigger picture such as Holiday truths, holidaysuncovered, holiday watchdog and also halkidiki .com forums.
