Ferry from mainland to Argostoli, Kefalonia?

Is this possible? I can see we can get a ferry from Kilini to Poros, but it would be easier if we could go from Kilini to Argostoli. (Due to wanting to hire a car and return it to the airport when we fly home.)

Determined to spend time in the Peloponnese with a hire car, and then go by ferry to Kefalonia, but it is proving really tricky to work out how to do it. Any suggestions most welcome. Do not really want to return the car to Athens and fly (too price as four of us, and also prefer to go by ferry!)

Thanks

Hi,

Not possible now to go directly to Argostoli, and indeed the ferry option from Patras has gone this year. That leaves Kylini to Poros and the occasional one continues to Ithaki and Sami.

In general a bus will connect at the port on Kefalonia (Poros, Sami) to Argostoli, it may have come across on the ferry i.e. part of the Athens > Argostoli intercity Bus service.

It has all got so complicated with trying to return hire car and having to get taxis, will probably just return to Athens and fly. Thanks for your help.
