Best Ferry to Italy

Hi,

Superfast Ferries are a bit confusing. They all seem to stop everywhere before getting to Italy. Can someone tell me the fastest ferry in summer (least stops). Also, if I want to get to Rome, what is the best port: Bari or Brindisi?

thank you

Monty

AFAIK, the ferry only stops in Igoumenitsa. There are two lines - Superfast to Bari and Grimaldi to Brindisi. Getting to Rome is easiest from Bari but flying would be the quickest way and probably cheaper too.

When are you going? We'll be going in September. We wanted to take the Patra-Brindisi ferry; but, have read negative reviews and I can't get that website to work... So, I guess we'll take the ferry to Bari. We'll then rent a car and drive to the Amalfi Coast.
