Hi! My family of 2 adults and 2 children below 4 years old are planning a 7 days/6 nights holiday to Denmark this August. I have drawn up an itinerary and would like to seek advice and feedback about it:
Day 1: Arrive Copenhagen in the afternoon. Check out Stroget - Nyhavn in the evening. Stay a night at Copenhagen.
Day 2: Drive to Odense - Ribe. Stay a night at Ribe.
Day 3: Drive from Ribe to Billund for Legoland. Stay a night at Horsens or Vejle.
Day 4: From Horsens/Vejle - Hillerod – Helsignor - Copenhagen
Day 5: Copenhagen
Day 6: Copenhagen
Day 7: Return home
My questions are:
1. Is my itinerary practical? Have I planned too many places for a day? Our travelling style is free and easy.
2. I've read that Aarhus is nice and am thinking to fit it in Day 4 after Vejle. Is it worth checking out?
3. Are 2 days for Copenhagen sufficient? Or will it be more ideal if we were to add one more night to the overall itinerary?
4. What are the recommended, reasonably priced car rental companies in Copenhagen? What are the usual going rates?
Thank you in advance for all your tips and advice.
