Train to Roskilde

Can anyone tell me how I can book online tickets from the Esbjerg to Roskilde for July 2013. The calendar only goes to April. Also is there a seniors fare (Australians) for that route / time.

Thanks Ross

Train tickets can only be booked 2 months in advance. Yes, there are reduced fares for seniors (65+).

Tickets for Danish trains are booked on www.dsb.dk (their offer for non-Danish speakers isn't the best, but they have a "How to order online tickets"-tutorial here: http://www.dsb.dk/om-dsb/in-english/

For July you have to wait a bit more. 2 months in advance is the rule.

For the cheapest discount tickets (Orange) there is no further discounts for seniors (Austrailan or not). These are non-flexible, non-refundable and valid for the train booked only. Prices start at 149 DKK and they are only available online.

Seniors (over 65s) get 25% discount on Standard tickets on Fridays, Sundays and big travel days (none of these in July) on other days the discount is 50%. These tickets are flexible, refundable, valid for any train and you can buy them on the day. With 50% discount price is 211 DKK (weekday).

DKK 211 is including seat reservation (DKK 30), which is not compulsory and hardly needed on a weekday. No discount for seniors on seat reservation.

Thanks for the help. I need to book the Harwich ferry pretty quick as I am in school holiday period and my wife doesn't want to fly. Waiting 2 months may result in missing a berth on the ferry. It's always a dilemna book now or wait.
