Flying to Sweden and then in Europe

In the month of September, we would like to fly from Seattle to Stockholm. After about five days in Sweden, we went to go on to visit people in London, Munich, and Barcelona, staying in each place for about four days. Then home to Seattle. This looks potentially hugely expensive. Can anybody suggest the most economical way to choose and book flights? Do we dare just get to Stockholm and then just book flights from there, hoping there are deals? Thank you!

There are no special deals when booking in any city. If you book last minute you pay walkup fare, ie. full price.

Book during sales orwell in advance for best prices. Check airport websites and wiki-pages to see which airlines fly where and book directly on the airlines webpage. Note that many towns have several airports serving them. Plan itinerary from there.

For the flights to/from the US book open-jaw tickets to Stockholm and from the last town you'll visit.

There are plenty of airline offers in Europe.

A flight comparison website such as www.momondo.com can be very useful for mapping possibilities

Some of the individual Airline websites worth checking are www.norwegian.com , www.easyjet.com and www.ryanair.com , plus www.flysas.com and www.lufthansa.com
