Deciding between 2 hotels for a 2 night stay after a cruise.

Being unfamiliar with the layout of the city, we are considering two hotels for a two night stay the first week in June. Since we are looking for simple with a private bath we are considering either Hotel Connect City or Omena Hotel Stockholm. Can someone familiar with the areas of these two hotels give any suggestions on which would be best located for home base while we quickly tour the city?

Thanks for any comments!

I can't say that one has a location that is much better than the other one. Hotel Connect City is located close to a subway, and you can walk from there to Stadshuset. The island Kungsholmen that the hotel is located on is more of a residential area with restaurants and some shopping, but not many things for a tourist to see. I do however love the area.

Omena Hotel Stockholm is located closer to the city but further away from a subway station. You can walk from the hotel to Stockholm C (Central station where you can take the bus or the train to Arlanda Airport)., and to the city. Most locations that a tourist want to visit do however require public transportations or a long walk, unless shopping is what you want to do. The area where the hotel is located is also a bit "dead" at night.

This is a very helpful reply. I think I will continue looking. Is there a specific location within the city that you would suggest or a better located "value" hotel? We are fine with using public transportation or walking but we do not want to spend our money for a fancy hotel we are only going to sleep in! All we ask is a clean bed and an in-room bathroom.
