Eating after 9pm Sunday eve- suggestions pls

Hello, staying over Katajanokka area. Any pubs or cafes etc that are close by to grab a bite? Not looking for Michelin star, just simple and tasty. Anything central would be fine as we are quite close to 'downtown' etc.. Prefer 'local' tyoe food and not this american chain fast food nonsense, Thanks

Welcome to Helsinki,

eating out on a Sunday night needs indeed planning. Not many restaurants are open, I'm afraid. You can take the tram 4 from Katajanokka to the Finlandia Hall and visit Manala (open until 04) It has the pub feel you asked for http://www.botta.fi/MANALA.3.0.html?&L=1

A bit closer, on the Senate square, is the Savotta (open to 23) asrestaurants.com/EN/…presentation.html Not a pub, but a sightseeing on a plate.

I recommend the eat.fi -site. You can make searches based on a date and time too.
