7 hour layover in Helsinki in September

We are having a 7 hour layover in Helsinki in September on our way to France. Can anyone tell me if that's enough time to leave the airport and go anywhere? Or do we need more time? My another option is 10 hours layover. Would that be enough?

Also what is there to see that is not far from the airport?

7 hours is enough, 10 is better and less likely to end in a hurry. Check the 'Top Questions for Helsinki" as a lot of info on this question has been posted previously.

Enjoy your visit!

Thank you!

Any tips on what transportation it is better to take?

Cheapest: bus 615. Also, you could use the same ticket for the Suomenlinna ferry or other public transport - the ticket is valid for 80 minutes from first use.

Second cheapest: Finnair bus (slightly faster)

Or of course, a taxi.
