How to get to Hotellilaiva Hanko hotel

Hi guys!

Need your help!

I´ll be flying to Helsinki next week, and im not shure on how to get to my hotel.

The hotel its actually a boat, on the Hietalahdenranta area or street.

I´ll catch a bus from Finnair or 615 to the city center and then what? It seem´s a walking distance, but not shure...

Few days later, i´ll be taking a ferry to Tallin, from Tallink Silja. Whats the best way to go to the harbour? I´ve read somewhere that there are several harbours... Is it correct?

Any suggestion would be very appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

Vasco

Take tram 6 to its end stop or the stop before (Kalevankatu). Another option is tram 9 (prob faster, but more crowded) to Länsilinkki.

Both lines 9 and the occasional 6T drive past the boat, but there's no stop around there.

Both mentioned lines have a stop at the Railway station. The ticket you buy for the 615 is valid on the tram. If you take the Finnair bus, you need to buy a tram ticket.

Our Journey planner has trouble with sillilaituri, but google maps shows the place & tram stops accurately.

While on the Central Railway Station tram stop, take either 6, 6T or 9 which ever comes first. Tram 9 is only occasionally crowded, if so wait for 6/6T. The difference in travel times is minutes. You should see Hanko across the street from Länsilinkki and Hietalahti stops.

Walk, it's just 2 tram stops away. Sillilaituri and Tallink terminal (Länsiterminaali) are on the same Eastern Shore of Jätkäsaari. http://goo.gl/maps/k1vYh

Hi there!

Actually it was pretty nice.

It was quiet, and clean, the 2 guys at the reception where very friendly, and gave me some usefull tips.

The boat has a "kitchen" where you can have your breakfast or make some tea.

The rooms arent that big ( similar to Tallink´s and Silija´s Line) but are comfy, with TV and well heated. There´s a deck on the outside, with some tables and chairs, but i couldnt use it because of the snow... Must be nice on sunny days!

The bus stop is at 50 mts from the hotel ( the 6, 9, and 9T, i think), so for the price i´ve payed, i think it was a fair deal.

I still wonder why arent any rates or commentary of this hotel on the Trip Advisor page... That got me scared when i booked, but it went just fine.

Thanks again and hope to help you guys in Lisbon one day! :)

Take Care,

Vasco
