Northern Lights - when pregnant, whats your view??

Hi all, i'm currently 18weeks pregnant. Hubbies 30th will be 30th April, therefore i'd be 36weeks pregnant and obvioulsy couldn't go to Iceland then. I am thinking of booking to go at the end of January/start of February. If i can fly (have Gestational Diabetes) can you see any reason why i should't go? ie, do you stand around for ages in the cold? What about the thermal spas, can pregnant people use? Just wondering if so hold off and book for next winter? Thanks :)

Yes, you do have to stand around possibly for a long time to try and see NL's. If you go on a tour you will have to stay out as long as the tour does. If you don't want to do this the only option may be to hire a guide or stay in the countryside.

Also you will need plenty of warm weather gear, it's very cold watching the NL's. Can you get this gear if you are well on in your pregnancy?

I suppose its possible with careful planning and understanding the weather and conditions.
