I have been reading about possible volcano activity in Iceland. Should travelers be concerned or take certain precautions? We plan on leaving in a few days and each night will be in Reykjavik.

Thank you very much.

There is no eruption in Iceland at the moment, but there are some earthquakes north of Vatnajokull glacier but the magma is still some 6-8 kilometers down. So you will very unlikely be so lucky to have eruption up there during your stay in Iceland. But if we get eruption where the earthquakes are now we will get some crater row eruption with basalt magma = no flooding, no ash = and such eruption will not effect your visit to Iceland in any way. Not effect any tours except in the highland north of Vatnajokull ... but you could have very interesting eruption tour. But if you are travelling in West and South Iceland you will not even notice the eruption. But at the moment, no eruption and not sign of any eruption on the way even there are some earthquakes.

And a final note: You don't feel any of the earthquakes.
