The Borg Hotel in Reykjavik

My daughter won an all-xpenses trip for four to Iceland. It was a promotion. We stayed at the Borg and I want to say that we were treated like royalty! The rooms were lovely, one of them with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The breakfast buffet was incredible with everything you can imagine, including smoked fish and fancy cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, eggs, pates, and freshly baked bread.

All the staff, from front desk to housekeeping were accommodating and friendly.

My only complaint was room service. We ordered one night after a full day of activities when we were just too tired to venture out again. It was horribly expensive and the portions were pathetic and the bread was ordinary white sliced bread! A far far cry from the breakfast buffet! But the coffee was ten times better than that which we got at the breakfast buffet! Go figure!

If I could afford the Borg, that is where I would go on my own dime.
