And the Icelandic www.ja.is will be adding their own streetview of Reykjavik, Akureyri, and other towns and villages - as well as some tourist attraction on their map soon. Virtual travel of Iceland is just about to become a whole lot easier.

Google has now made street-view images from Iceland available on Google Maps. They have added Reykjavik, Akureyri, Isafjordur and some other towns and villages. You can also "drive" a large portion of the Ring Road and the Westfjords. This should come in handy for those who wish to see what the roads are like.

Ace timing, going mid Nov. Normally always have a look on street view to see what is around the hotel and thought it weird that Iceland did not have it.
