gozo day trip in January

We've 3 days and nights in Malta - Sliema, in January and want to see Gozo on one of the days. I'm gathering that the best way around the island would be to take a taxi on arrival? This would save the hassle of hiring a car just for the day and finding our way around the island. Are there plenty about for hire when we arrive and does anyone know the rough cost? I guess they all offer a similar kind of tour?

i would rather go for a prebooked day trip than taking one of the taxis at the ferry! Unfortunately the taxi system at the Gozo terminal is not 'efficient' and drivers ask different prices and sometimes are too 'fussy'.

touring the island by taxi will cost you a fortune.

rent a car much much cheaper, you could have it waiting for you as soon as u arrive on gozo. find out where to go and how to get there and youll do more and enjoy it more and save loads of cash.

should you need info on where to go etc feel free to ask.
