St Julians would most certainly be the best place for two "party girls".

The Paceville area is the clubbing / disco part of Malta and becomes very lively especially at the weekends.

There is a small beach in St Julians but a 50 minute bus ride will take you to Mellieha bay , the largest and argueably the best beach on the island.

Nobody can guarantee the weather in May but it is usualy a good time to visit Malta as it should be pleasently warm , nice and green and covered in wild flowers.

Eating out can be as cheap or expensive as you want. There are many top quality restaurants with matching top quality prices.

You can also find lots of friendly little bars , especialy in the side streets where the drinks and food prices are low. Some places do beer for a euro a pint while hotels can charge 3 times that.

Coffee can vary from 50 cents in a band club up to a couple of euros in a hotel.

There`s a huge choice in the St Julians / Sliema area.

Have an enjoyable stay.

As Graham said St Julians has a small sandy beach but along the coast there is limestone beach with smooth spots for sunbathing. There are also water polo clubs that have all amenities.
