checked with Arriva in Malta,if you have a blue badge it has to be shown each time you board a bus and you can get a reduction in the fares.

you can email them at enquires@arriva.com.mt A day ticket cost's 1.50 euros but is reduced with production of the blue badge to 0.50 euros,

Not necessarily ! Arriva customer services do not always get it right !

The €1.50 day ticket fare applies to Maltese residents only. Visitors from abroad have to pay €2.60 for a day ticket. The fare information that they have given you for Blue Badge holders may therefore also apply to residents only.

Also be aware that the drivers may not fully understand that arrangement either - please let us know how you get on.

My brief reply in post 1 was based on what two families we meet in July had experienced. As p-t-b writes reductions are for Maltese residents only.
