Are tourist sites open in January?

We are thinking of visiting Malta in January. Will archeological sites, museums, etc., all be open for business or do they shut down when there aren't so many tourists around?

Malta is an all year round destination so you will find all sites will be open .

A few bars may be closed but you will find that most will be open.

Walk through any town and it will be buzzing with life.

Depends where you stay - its quiet but not dead as 370,000 live on this small island so there is a local market for restaurants, especially at weekends. Weather will be cool and even chilly in evenings - just bear that in mind.

The Tourism Authority works hard at promoting tourism out of the peak summer months so it's business as usual during winter. The only places that close are the bars that are actually on the sea shore.
