Carnivale one night only....what to do?

Hi,

We (3 females, 25 years) are going to Malta for a week and will be there for the first night of carnivale and flying home the next day. Just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions of where to go or what to do to get the most out of carnival in one night?!!

I'm told by some Maltese that Floriana is a good place to see the Carnival but that may depend on where you are staying. You've probably read the visit Malta website but just in case http://www.visitmalta.com/en/carnival. Not long now to your holiday so enjoy. Also if you keyin carnival in the search box above you OP you may get older postings.

Enter here (www.maltaculture.com/content.aspx?id=185279) and on the right there is a detailed programme of activities. Mainly all activities are held at Valletta and Floriana in Malta and at Nadur in Gozo.

enjoy your stay.

Thanks a million for that, much appreciated! And also just wondering does everyone get dressed up in fancy dress too?

Not everyone gets dressed up in fancy dress, usually children go around with their costumes. But you can dress what you like ... it's carnival!! :)
